How to enter the challenges...

We were asked how to enter the weekly challenges by leaving a comment on the blog, so here is a step by step process for anyone who wants to enter but doesn't know how! The blog challenges will continue through the end of the month, and there is a prize awaiting one lucky winner who finishes them all! You can always drop your layout / project off at the store to have it entered, but if you want to enter online, here's how to do it...

1. First you will need to post a picture of the project online somewhere. It can be anywhere, from your own blog (free, and easy to set up at blogger.com), to a photo sharing site (like flickr), or an online gallery (like twopeasinabucket). It's free and easy to set up an account on one of these sites and it just takes a second.

2. Once your project is online, make sure you can see it in your web browser and then highlight the web address (the WHOLE thing) and copy it. If you are using a Windows based computer, the easiest way to copy is to hit while the line is highlighted. You can also right click and select "copy" from the drop down menu.

3. Once you have copied the link, go to the post on the Keepsakes blog and leave a comment. In the comment box you can say whatever it is you'd like to say and then paste the link into the comment. To paste, you can hit or right click and select "paste" from the drop down menu.

4. Once you have finished posting your comment the web address should be visible and we can go see your great projects!

How to Post a Comment on the Blog...

A few of you have had trouble posting a comment on the blog, so I thought I'd write up some instructions on how to do it and put it over in the side bar --------------------------------------->
so you can reference it whenever you need it! After all, with the recent prizes hinging on leaving comments, we certainly wouldn't want anyone to be left out because they couldn't get a comment to post! So here's what you need to do...

1. Find the post you want to leave a comment on. At the bottom of the post, click the link that says "__ comments" (there will be a number in the blank, depending on how many comments have already been posted.)

2. A new window will open containing the previous comments and a blank comment form. Scroll down to the bottom of the existing comments to see the comment box.

3. Type your comment in the box.

4. Below the comment box, type the random letters you see. This just ensures that you are a real person leaving a comment, and not a spammer. =D

5. In the "Choose an identity" section, you can choose any of the options, but the easiest is to make sure the "Anonymous" option is selected. Click the circle next to "Anonymous" to select.

6. Make sure you sign your name in your comment so we know who posted!

And that's all there is to it! It seems like a lot of steps, but once you do it a time or two you'll see that it is really pretty easy. So go ahead... practice a bit and leave us a comment on this post!
